My Truck

Id like to share my personal experience about many things

Topic #1 My truck

1999 Slt 5.9liter(the “360”) gasoline engine Dodge ram 2500 4×4 with Automatic transmission

Had the Metal intake manifold, not the plastic one. Was not the over head cam made engine,

Took the 10w-30 motor oil. I got this truck cause it was a bigger version of my 1998 Dodge Dakota 5.2liter engine. still with the metal intake.

I KNOW HOW TO FIX THEM , I KNOW WHAT MAKES WHAT HAPPEN from personal experience and my personality + having to work on it my self. ← also learning my self( I will list an more detailed explanation/Example later )

from learning knowledge and my Opinion

The Japanese had a inspirational idea of making the engine lighter ( you will see them on a lot of the newer 2000 Dodge rams BUT in my opinion their smart idea combined on over head cam engine does not work, In my opinion this Idea would be overlooked by a lot of the car lovers IF the engine was not changed to be something other than what Chrysler made it.

a over head engine is NOT THE SAME , nor the materials inside, I know, I tore apart my 5.9 l engine and my 5.2 L engine and put it back together and for it to still work

The 5.9 had gasket under the intake called the “plenum gasket”

my truck would not start for a whole 8-12 hours before it started again , I had no idea what was the problem until someone said “it could be vapor locking “

Sure enough I changed the gasket and I did not have a problem………….(to be continued

its only just the beginning .

Keep checking back for updates!
